Position requires onsite presence in Foster City, CA.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, math, or related field
- Passionate in building ride service and fleet management for autonomous vehicles
- Fluent in Kotlin, Java or Python programming language
- Experience in writing clean, reusable and modularized code
- Experience in building backend services with HTTP APIs
- Good understanding of distributed systems
- Ability to actively collaborate with team members to design solutions, define execution plans and deliver features
- Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of debugging and troubleshooting for smooth operations
- Build out the backend services that provide top-notch rider and vehicle operator experience across mobile apps, robots, and web apps
- Be part of the backbone of the autonomous fleet management system
- Connect riders and vehicle operators to robots
- Solve challenging problems and define the ride experience of Zoox's autonomous vehicles
Zoox is developing a fully integrated autonomous ride-hailing service with a vehicle designed specifically for self-driving, rather than retrofitting existing cars. The vehicle features advanced sensors and AI systems for navigating urban environments and has a spacious interior for up to four passengers.
