Requirements
  • The employee must successfully complete the Batchman I Career Path competencies within six months, subject to supervisor approval.
  • A minimum Class B commercial driver's license with air brakes is required.
  • Truck driving experience is required.

  • The employee must repeatedly reach and squat and tolerate prolonged standing, walking, and sitting.
  • The employee must repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces.
Responsibilities
  • Batch ready-mix concrete promptly, safely, and efficiently according to job requirements and ASTM specifications.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the plant, including operations, maintenance, production, inventory control, safety, environmental compliance, customer service, and supervision of plant employees.
  • Maintain control and distribute mail and inventory.
  • Schedule material deliveries and maintain adequate inventories of aggregates, cements, admixtures, fuel, and warehouse products to meet customer needs.
  • Complete and maintain daily petty cash, CWC, environmental, and employee hour reports.
  • Maintain a safe workplace in accordance with company policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines.
  • Ensure operations comply with applicable environmental standards.
  • Maintain the plant in excellent mechanical and aesthetic condition.
  • Oversee plant employees, including drivers, loader operators, and laborers.
  • Ensure employees work safely and efficiently and follow company policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure plant equipment and yards, including the batch plant, trucks, loaders, and other equipment, are kept clean and in proper condition.
  • Maintain working relationships with coworkers and personnel from outside agencies.
  • Perform daily material testing, including material moisture and concrete air content testing.
  • Ensure proper storage of all materials, parts, and supplies.
  • Make mail deliveries and pickups as needed.
  • Operate and drive light and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.
  • Perform other duties related to the nature of the job as assigned temporarily or permanently.
