How will you fulfill your potential?

• Help us evolve our continuous integration and deployment infrastructure
• Create and maintain system design and operation documentation
• Help design and implement our container orchestration strategy and artifact management strategy
• Solve a scaling bottleneck in a critical service
• Deploy a new feature to production, progressively rolling it out with feature flags
• Investigate and fix a production issue from a service your team owns
• Build and engage with complex backend systems involving RBAC, user authentication, and stream communication for audio. You will work on systems requiring low latency optimizations and those where downtime could significantly impact customer business operations, reflecting the high stakes and technical precision required.
• Assume responsibility for critical technical components including databases, queues, caches, and APIs. You will buy or build suitable technologies for each, ensuring optimal performance and scalability of our backend systems.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use, emphasizing maintainability and efficient code reuse
• With your team, plan the most important projects to work on next.

• You can design architecture to solve problems at high scale.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing continuous integration and deployment frameworks
• Experience working through the SDLC, building and promoting applications from development all the way to production
• DevOps/Infrastructure design and management experience at an enterprise level using infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or Ansible)
• Significant experience in one or more languages
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring, or similar frameworks. Experience with Python is a plus. You should also have hands-on experience with container management tools like Docker Swarm or Kubernetes.
• Experience building and supporting multi-tier production applications running at AWS or another cloud provider
• Experience working alongside application teams to develop and deploy infrastructure
• Experience with source control system (GitLab or GitHub)
• Hands-on knowledge of at least one SQL or no-SQL database, such as Postgres, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
• Understanding of fundamental modules including queues, cache, OLAP stores, and web sockets. Knowledge of design patterns and their practical applicability in solving complex software engineering problems. 

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certification(s)
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of Industry experience.
• Experience working in a heavily regulated or financial industry
• Experience with cloud migration
• Experience working with containers
• Management of dedicated artifact systems
