Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in construction project management or a related field is required.
  • Travel of 50–100% is required.
  • Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with work potentially required at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide general management for construction projects and support oversight of project teams.
  • Support the planning, organization, and staffing of construction projects.
  • Maintain safety as a focus through all phases of construction projects, from planning through execution and closeout.
  • Ensure projects are completed profitably, on time, and according to internal and external customer expectations.
  • Represent the company professionally when maintaining relationships with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Visit job sites and interact with crews, customers, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure job progress and encourage safe behavior.
  • Support the management, coordination, and scheduling of subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers.
  • Coordinate materials related to shop drawing reviews, procurement, sequencing, and construction activity management.
  • Collaborate with project managers, preconstruction managers, estimators, engineers, project superintendents, and other internal support team members to execute projects.
  • Support or lead the project Quality Control/Quality Assurance program.
  • Conduct Quality Control inspections to ensure compliance with construction documents.
  • Coordinate equipment and system shop drawings, coordination drawings, and related inspections.
  • Maintain the Quality Control/Quality Assurance log and project plan, and actively manage correction of noncompliant activities.
  • Support the request-for-proposal process, including developing bid packages, collecting proposals, reviewing results, and generating subcontractor and vendor agreements for review.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation and controls, including status reports and updates.
  • Support or update project schedules.
  • Support or lead the project closeout process, including acquiring, reviewing, and submitting required documentation.
  • Support the process for project documentation required to meet applicable grants or incentives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience managing construction projects and supervising staff is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction environment is advantageous.
