Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Quality, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Three to five years of experience in engineering, quality, manufacturing, mathematics, statistics, or a closely related technical field is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills are required, with the ability to work effectively across functional teams.
  • The role requires the ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing setting and respond to quality issues as they arise.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing regarding product and process inspection, audit requirements, sampling plans, process controls, and statistical applications.
  • Set up, develop, and continuously improve inspection systems, methods, and techniques using data analysis, Statistical Process Control, auditing, and other appropriate quality tools.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems, procedures, and controls, and assist with systems auditing to verify compliance and effectiveness.
  • Provide technical support to Purchasing regarding supplier capability, quality status, inspection and test methods, supplier-related nonconformance, and resolution of quality issues.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis and prepare corrective action documentation using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5-Why, and A-3.
  • Maintain accurate and current quality system documentation, records, procedures, work instructions, and other controlled quality information.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and support audit preparation, reporting, corrective actions, and timely follow-up to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Analyze quality trends, inspection results, process data, and other performance indicators to identify opportunities for risk reduction, defect prevention, and process improvement.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to establish effective process controls, address sources of variation, and support improvements in quality, yield, and consistency.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with customer Quality organizations to ensure key characteristics, technical requirements, and contractual quality expectations are understood and met.
  • Validate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions; monitor results and communicate lessons learned and best practices across applicable processes and teams.
  • Support quality initiatives associated with new product introduction, process changes, customer requirements, and other activities that may affect product or process quality.
  • Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement and team facilitation activities focused on reducing variation, preventing defects, and strengthening process capability.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in electronics or electronic component manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of electronic component manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and process controls.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IPC-610, ISO 9001, and AS 9100 requirements.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, quality engineering techniques, process control, Statistical Process Control, auditing, corrective action, and team facilitation methods.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based quality systems or other business applications.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification, or willingness to pursue certification.
  • Knowledge or experience with MIL SPC 38534.
  • Data-driven decision making and statistical analysis.
  • Structured problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action effectiveness.
  • Quality systems and internal auditing.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and technical communication.
  • Customer-focused quality requirements and issue resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Spectrum Control adds filtered D-Sub connectors. Spectrum Control has introduced D-Sub Filtered Connectors as part of its Filtered Connector Express(TM) series, giving engineers a way to configure custom filtered connectors with per-pin selective loading through an online tool. The connectors are available in 9-, 15-, 25-, 37- and 50-pin shell sizes with four termination options and selectable filter types and capacitance, allowing filtering to be integrated at the connector entry point instead of using discrete components. Designed for applications including military and aerospace systems, industrial equipment, cellular base stations and medical electronics, a single connector can replace up to 128 discrete filters to reduce board space and system complexity.

Spectrum Control adds dual-channel RF SiPs. Spectrum Control has introduced the SCi Blocks(TM) family of dual-channel block converter RF+ SiPs for high-channel-density RF and microwave systems. Available as a downconverter, upconverter or transceiver, the devices support 18 GHz to 26 GHz and 26 GHz to 40 GHz operation, include RF conversion, filtering, gain control, power regulation, RF detection and temperature monitoring, and provide 26 dB digital gain control in 0.5 dB steps with 300 ns attenuator settling and 1 μs band-select switching. Designed for applications such as EW/SIGINT, radar, aerospace and defense and test systems, the 30 mm^2 surface-mount packages help reduce board space, discrete component count and integration effort.

Wideband RF transceiver card targeting multi-mission EW payloads showcased at AOC 2025. December 10, 2025 NATIONAL HARBOR, maryland. Spectrum Control is showcasing a 16-channel wideband radio-frequency transceiver card at AOC 2025 that is intended to condense electronic warfare, radar, and signals-intelligence front ends into a single 3U module. The DirectRF card combines eight transmit and eight receive paths on one 3U VPX plug-in, with the goal of giving system designers a common building block for different mission profiles, the company says. The module covers roughly 0.1 to 36 GHz and is built to handle wide slices of spectrum at once, which is aimed at receivers and transmitters that must watch for many signals or threats in parallel rather than tuning across bands, according to the statement. An Intel Agilex 9 field-programmable gate array (FPGA) on the card provides local signal processing and control so that some detection, filtering, or beam-control tasks can occur on the module instead of in a separate processor, Spectrum Control says. The design supports synchronization across multiple cards so that integrators can build out larger arrays for beamforming or direction finding without custom hardware, the company adds. The company describes the module as aligned with the Sensor Open Systems Architecture, or SOSA, Technical Standard, as well as VITA 49.2 profiles, which is intended to help primes and subsystem suppliers plug the card into existing modular open-systems racks and reuse the same RF front end across airborne, naval, and ground platforms.
