Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience installing and commissioning power transformers is mandatory.
- Proven experience with transformer electrical testing, troubleshooting, and external component wiring is required.
- Familiarity with vacuum oil processing, oil handling procedures, and high-voltage safety protocols is required.
- Strong experience managing subcontractors and leading multidisciplinary teams in industrial settings is required.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally is required.
- Willingness to work in diverse outdoor environments and industrial sites is required.
- Physical stamina to walk, stand, work at heights, and occasionally lift heavy objects is required.
- Ability to work around high-voltage equipment and heavy machinery is required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the full lifecycle of onsite power transformer installation and commissioning for units up to 850 MVA and 500 kV.
- Oversee assembly of all external components and peripherals in compliance with technical specifications.
- Lead pre-commissioning activities and perform onsite electrical testing.
- Troubleshoot field-related issues and conduct root cause analyses of equipment failures or performance issues.
- Prepare actionable technical reports based on root cause investigations.
- Supervise onsite subcontractors and ensure work is safe, on schedule, and aligned with Hyundai quality standards.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customer engineers during testing.
- Prepare field service documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and final commissioning certificates.
