Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Sales Manager or similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrated success in MICE, conference, corporate or group sales.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships across corporate, professional conference organiser and event planner segments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Solid understanding of hotel sales processes, revenue principles and market dynamics.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and customer relationship management or hotel sales management systems.
  • A passion for luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional client experiences.
  • Full Australian working rights are required, with the ability to work an average of 38 hours per week.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with MICE clients, professional conference organisers, event planners, corporate clients and travel trade partners.
  • Proactively source new business opportunities across meetings, incentives, conferences, events and corporate market segments.
  • Conduct sales calls, client meetings, site inspections and sales trips, and represent the hotel at industry events and trade shows.
  • Work collaboratively with the Accor National Sales team to maximise business opportunities and enhance market presence.
  • Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity and emerging business opportunities.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and create account development plans for key clients.
  • Manage corporate request-for-proposal submissions and ensure alignment with hotel revenue strategies.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, reports and forecasts using hotel sales systems and customer relationship management platforms.
  • Support a seamless handover of confirmed business to the conference and events team to ensure exceptional client experiences.
