Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • At least ten years of progressive accounting or finance experience within manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant certification is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning system is required.
  • Five to seven years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience with JD Edwards is preferred.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • A high level of integrity is required to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Employment is contingent upon completing a drug screen and background check.
Responsibilities
  • Manage standard costing, job costing, and inventory accounting processes.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances, including labor, material, overhead, scrap, and production efficiencies.
  • Monitor inventory controls, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Partner with operations to monitor production costs and improve profitability.
  • Support Enterprise Resource Planning system maintenance and manufacturing financial reporting enhancements.
  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
  • Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor cash flow, capital expenditures, and working capital performance.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
  • Maintain the general ledger, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, and banking relationships.
  • Track key performance indicators and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Supervise and mentor daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and staff accounting functions.
  • Establish performance goals and support employee development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, procurement, engineering, human resources, customer service, and senior leadership.
  • Promote process improvement and accountability throughout the organization.
