- A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or Process Engineering is required.
- A Professional Engineering designation is required.
- At least 10 years of engineering experience in industrial water treatment projects is required, ideally in mining.
- Experience working in an environmental consulting or project consulting setting is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and other business software is required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently or as part of a team is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Lead technology selection and water management trade-off studies with support from internal experts.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering design activities and technical deliverable generation for feasibility and detailed design.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, and reports.
- Support equipment selection, procurement activities, and vendor reviews involving water treatment solutions and water management strategies.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZID and HAZOP workshops, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
- Support project planning, proposals, budgeting, and client engagement.
- Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
- Engage with clients to help them understand and achieve project goals.
- Provide technical input to projects within areas of expertise.
- Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals.
- Mentor and provide technical training to junior and intermediate team members.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Experience supporting project controls, including schedule, procurement, and construction planning, would be an asset.
- The 10+ years of engineering experience is ideally in mining-related industrial water treatment projects.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects.
