Responsibilities
  • Clean all designated areas according to the Head Chef’s instructions and the department’s cleaning schedule.
  • Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment clean, sanitised, and clutter-free throughout the shift.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchenware manually and using the dishwasher.
  • Handle crockery, cutlery, and glassware carefully and store them safely.
  • Empty bins regularly and dispose of waste correctly.
  • Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the kitchen team.
  • Support the kitchen team during busy periods to maintain smooth service.
  • Leave the kitchen clean, tidy, and ready for the next shift at the end of each day.
  • Use and clean all kitchen equipment properly.
  • Report maintenance or equipment issues immediately to the Head Chef or Duty Manager.
  • Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring items are stored correctly and safely.
  • Enter data accurately and promptly into the Riskproof due diligence system.
  • Occasionally assist the front-of-house team with meeting room setups, deliveries, clear-downs, and maintaining service equipment.
  • Follow site-specific health and safety systems, including loading bay procedures.
