- Clean all designated areas according to the Head Chef’s instructions and the department’s cleaning schedule.
- Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment clean, sanitised, and clutter-free throughout the shift.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchenware manually and using the dishwasher.
- Handle crockery, cutlery, and glassware carefully and store them safely.
- Empty bins regularly and dispose of waste correctly.
- Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the kitchen team.
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods to maintain smooth service.
- Leave the kitchen clean, tidy, and ready for the next shift at the end of each day.
- Use and clean all kitchen equipment properly.
- Report maintenance or equipment issues immediately to the Head Chef or Duty Manager.
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring items are stored correctly and safely.
- Enter data accurately and promptly into the Riskproof due diligence system.
- Occasionally assist the front-of-house team with meeting room setups, deliveries, clear-downs, and maintaining service equipment.
- Follow site-specific health and safety systems, including loading bay procedures.
