Job Description
Ensures the quality, reliability and validity of Teledyne’s processes, procedures, and Quality Management systems for Teledyne’s highly complex Quality Assurance department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Responsible for Quality System Maintenance and support.
Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system.
Support continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system with tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
Support the development of training to build quality awareness.
Interface with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions.
Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
Ability to lead Material Review Board (MRB) meetings both internal and program level.
Ability to identity, create, and closeout Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and Preventative Action Reports (PARs) to address non-conformities and opportunities for improvement.
Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, quality plans, etc.
Responsible for the planning, organizing, and managing the overall project activities from product and material receiving to outgoing quality functions on any assigned programs.
Continuously improving QA receiving inspection process and procedures.
Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
Familiar with MIL-STD, MIL-PRF, IPC, and J-STD for electronic hybrids
Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits.
Ability to travel to conduct Supplier quality audits.
Preparation of Certificates of Conformity, QA reports, and Quality presentations.
Work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data
Qualifications & Competencies
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:
Quality Engineering experience.
Experience using quality inspection tools and equipment
ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management System experience
Ability to travel to Supplier’s facility to conduct Quality Audits
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Must be well organized and be able to prioritize workload in a fast paced environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
Experience with Read Out Integrated Circuits (ROIC), Infrared Detector Assemblies, and Hybrid Electronics
Ability to read technical drawings, requirements, Quality Clauses, and SOWs
Working knowledge of Configuration Management and Document Control
Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, ERP/MRP, and QMS experience
DelTek CostPoint experience desired
Valid ASQ Certified Quality Engineer – CQE certification desired
Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
Education and/or Experience
Completion of a high school degree or vocational training is required
ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality auditor training certificate desired
BS degree in an engineering discipline is required
New Graduates will be considered.
ASQ Quality Engineer certification and/or training desired
IPC training and/or certification desired
Citizenship Requirements
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

Salary Range:
$59,400.00-$79,310.000
