- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A minimum of eight years of systems administration experience in Red Hat Linux.
- An additional two years of technical experience or one of the following certifications: Linux LPIC, Red Hat RHCSA, or Red Hat RHSE.
- Expert knowledge of Linux administration, including in-depth knowledge of Red Hat-based distributions.
- Familiarity with open-source software tools and utilities for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Linux infrastructure and networks.
- Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting.
- Expert knowledge of systems administration for HP C7000 blade servers.
- Experience supporting Oracle SQL databases, including Oracle RAC cluster implementation on SAN platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SAN architectures and Fibre Channel protocols.
- Experience administering servers, backup operations, and systems monitoring in complex, multi-network server environments.
- Experience with data center migrations, server upgrades, operating system and firmware patching.
- Expert troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, including providing support to operations personnel.
- Experience supporting mission-critical systems 24x7x365, including regular on-call after-hours and weekend support.
- Experience meeting high-availability service-level agreements with 99.999% uptime.
- Experience with business continuity, disaster recovery failover/failback, and runbook documentation.
- Experience with cybersecurity, server hardening, and DMZ deployment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and participate in scheduled cross-functional projects.
- Availability for a second-shift schedule, regular after-hours and weekend support, and a 24x7x365 on-call rotation.
- Operate, maintain, and provide 24x7x365 support for high-availability server, database, and SAN platforms located in local and remote data centers across multiple time zones.
- Support daily operations through monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, capacity management, provisioning, hardware and software configuration, patching, upgrades, and performance monitoring and tuning.
- Administer multiple systems, including regular after-hours and weekend support in a 99.999% uptime environment.
- Compose clear and concise system documentation and reports.
- One or more Linux, database, SAN, server, or operating system certifications.
