CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Deriva Energy recently empowered Trips for Kids Charlotte (TFKC) to enhance their sustainability with the donation of solar panels for their Atando Avenue building in Charlotte, saving the nonprofit organization approximately $150,000 in energy costs over 30 years. Deriva and TFKC selected Renu Energy Solutions to install the panels last month. The $40,000 investment by Deriva will help TFKC further its mission to support sustainable circular economies in the Queen City. Deriva will continue its connection with TFKC through employee volunteer days and other projects. "Bicycles are a greener way to travel, less cost prohibitive to acquire and operate, and can be easily repaired with recycled parts," said Eric Supil, executive director of Trips for Kids Charlotte.
