Requirements
  • 4+ years in a managerial role, with some experience specifically in P&C insurance
  • A demonstrated talent for overseeing underwriting processes, including pre-purchase, post-purchase, and renewal reviews
  • Strong familiarity with modern underwriting tools, platforms, and technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the underwriting operations for home insurance, covering the spectrum from pre-purchase to renewal reviews
  • Spearhead multiple teams, ensuring a standardized, efficient, and innovative approach across all facets of underwriting
  • Collaborate extensively with the Underwriting Strategy team to execute in accordance with guidelines and position papers
  • Foster a vibrant team culture, actively driving team engagement and morale, and fostering a growth-oriented environment
  • Work in tandem with the Quality and Training departments to ensure impeccable standards and continuous learning
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, especially Product and Tech, to integrate state-of-the-art analytics and tools into the underwriting process
  • Deliver regular reports on underwriting KPIs, outcomes, and strategic initiatives to executive management, driving data-informed decision-making
