Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, including experience providing administrative or program support to professional staff and management, performing secretarial duties in support of a manager, coordinating communications between a manager, staff and program clientele, supervising subordinate staff, or researching information from internal and external sources.
  • One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A resume or curriculum vitae is required and must document major duties, education and experience demonstrating qualification for the position.
  • A cover letter is required.
  • Contact information for three supervisory references is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Deputy Director of the Center for Constitutional Law and the Director of the Judicial Studies Program.
  • Supervise staff and a student worker.
  • Monitor the budget and finances and manage grants.
  • Handle student relations.
  • Coordinate travel logistics for visiting scholars, judges and guest speakers.
  • Perform human resources operations.
  • Assist with the management and administration of the justice management degree program.
  • Provide administrative and program support for the Center for Constitutional Law, including public lectures, conferences, teacher institutes, tabling and outreach events, and other Center-sponsored programs.
  • Coordinate Center event and program logistics, including registrations, scheduling, visiting speaker arrangements, communications, meeting and event materials, records and databases, and related purchasing and fiscal transactions.
  • Process Center purchasing and accounting transactions through Workday, including purchasing, invoices, reimbursements, PCard documentation and other fiscal processing.
  • Assist with grant-related administrative and reporting documentation.
  • Assist with Center communications and administrative operations, including calendars, correspondence, website updates, newsletters and announcements, and coordination with faculty, speakers, students, donors and external partners.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with finances, project management, student support, and/or Microsoft Office.
