Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.

  • Experience complying with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience managing budgets and procurement processes.
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • A valid professional engineering license or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of Indian building codes, safety standards, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the setup, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of hotel and facility systems and technical infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and building systems, in compliance with local Indian codes and regulations.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders for engineering-related projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high workmanship standards.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine preventive maintenance schedules and protocols for equipment and systems.
  • Recruit, train, and develop the engineering team while fostering a collaborative, efficient, service-oriented culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous learning.
  • Conduct regular inspections and analytical assessments of engineering systems to identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Manage the engineering department's budget and oversee cost-efficient procurement of tools, supplies, equipment, and materials while maintaining quality standards.
  • Identify and implement energy-efficient practices and sustainable technologies to reduce operating costs and environmental impact.
  • Develop and implement emergency protocols and contingency plans for system failures or technical issues.
  • Collaborate with safety, security, and compliance teams to maintain fire, life safety, and regulatory compliance under Indian standards.
  • Prepare detailed engineering project progress reports covering risks, delays, and recommendations.
  • Establish long-term maintenance strategies and asset management plans for facility technical systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during critical operational phases to resolve issues and maintain system performance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certifications in facility management, building systems, or a related field are preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality, hotel operations, or large facility management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Understanding of sustainable building practices and green technologies.
