Requirements
  • A high school education or equivalent is preferred.
  • No previous work experience is required; manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Working experience with quality inspection metrology tools, standard operating procedures, manufacturing safety, information capture, time management, and accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of quality management, mathematical ability, active learning, data entry, communication, blueprint reading, and problem solving.
  • Extensive experience with hand dexterity.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
  • Applicants must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States through E-Verify.
  • Candidates may be required to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening based on position requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Use a hand truck, pallet jack, carts, and tables to safely transport products.
  • Maintain the work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
  • Report faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
  • Follow designated safety rules and regulations and reinforce safety expectations and operating practices.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, comparators, pin gauges, measuring instruments, and surface plates as required.
  • Perform weekly housekeeping according to the 5S schedule.
  • Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products.
  • Support quality and compliance by adhering to quality management system procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Prepare product surfaces for coating and mix coating powder and binder.
  • Perform coating operations by spraying binder on product surfaces and applying coating powder with brushes and other hand tools until specifications are achieved.
  • Inspect products according to specifications visually and using calipers and/or a comparator.
