The Team
Celonis AI Group (CeloAI) is dedicated to developing state-of-the-art AI/ML (and broadly intelligent) technologies for Celonis products (e.g., the Execution Management System / EMS) and empower enterprises and institutions to make intelligent business decisions and achieve operational excellence. Our dual mission focuses on both the immediate term goals of designing and implementing advanced AI/ML product features and solutions for our customers and the long term goals of establishing competitive advantages of Celonis for execution management.
We are a global organization with presence in both Germany and the US. CeloAI US has its main presence in New York, NY but also remote presences across the US.
The Role
We are seeking motivated and talented machine learning interns to join our team. The internship offers an opportunity to work on state-of-the-art machine learning techniques, including but not limited to generative AI techniques, as well as real-world applications. The intern will work with experienced professionals to contribute to the innovative machine learning related techniques and products.
As a machine learning intern, you are expected to conduct research and experiments on challenging machine learning problems that are closely related to Celonis products. You are expected to develop machine learning algorithms, models and systems for real-world applications. You may need to interact closely with other engineers to build scalable and high quality AI/ML features and solutions for our customers.
The work may span the areas of generative AI, natural language processing, data mining, recommendation, knowledge base, business intelligence, and other AI technologies.
The work you’ll do
- Design and develop scalable and high quality AI/ML algorithms, models and systems for Celonis products
- Initiate and lead research efforts towards solving real world problems using machine learning techniques, including understanding the application requirement, identifying potential machine learning algorithms, and coming up with research strategies.
- Conduct innovative research on topics in processing mining/deep learning/generative AI that can eventually be used in Celonis products
- Document research findings and share knowledge with team members
The qualifications you need
- Currently pursuing or has obtained a PhD degree in Computer Science or related fields
- Familiarity with state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms, especially deep learning techniques including generative AI.
- Proficiency in programming with Python and machine learning development tools/libraries.
- Ability to quickly identify research opportunities, select the appropriate approach for exploration, and drive research step by step with a clear vision and reliability.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to excel.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Identify with the Celonis value of customer first, passionate about solving real world customer problems
- Passionate about developing scalable and efficient AI/ML solutions
- Passionate about building high quality AI/ML solutions with clear and repeatable evaluation mechanisms
For this offer, you’ll be paid by the hour, the salary range is $50 - $65 per hour. Please note that this range is a guideline, and that the actual total hourly rate will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, applicant’s qualifications, skills, degree level, experiences, and location. Plus, we’ll adhere to each city and state’s employment laws regarding overtime and time-off if applicable.
