Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in a combination of management consulting, corporate strategy/operations, and/or finance roles at a marketplace, automotive or AV company
Responsibilities
  • Create a breakthrough overarching Rides & Mobility strategy that defines the clear long-term competitive advantages and core strengths of Uber for next year and next 3-5 years
  • Bring to practice said strategy, creating impactful roadmaps that will enable a “leap” in the market beyond competitors or to whole new businesses
  • Align the structures, processes, and offerings of the Operations pillars with a clear strategic plan, goals and objectives and key results
  • Lead the execution of S&P programs and initiatives, empowering teams and making them accountable
  • When needed, challenge underlying assumptions about the mobility industry and/or the role Uber plays in it to create new ways of shaping the market
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (City & Central Operations, Finance, Product, Marketing and Data Science,) in the pursuit of sizable and realistic opportunities
  • Partner with Strategic Finance teams to ensure fit-for-purpose financial planning for P&L’s and adequate metrics and analytics for measuring progress on initiatives
  • Oversee organizational governance & operating cadence (in close partnership with CoS)
  • Guide a team of very strong analysts to develop impactful insights and see them through to action
Desired Qualifications
  • A history of pursuing complex issues with a combination of long-term vision and data-driven scenario planning
  • A track record in the mobility industry and robust understanding of the trends, players and various industry segments
  • Comfortable influencing discussions at the highest levels and a demonstrated success in finding common ground and aligning stakeholders and teams with conflicting agendas
  • Proven experience in thriving under pressure in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • Seasoned organizational skills to prioritize and lead hundreds of ongoing processes and projects simultaneously and to align contending priorities
  • Exceptional business judgment and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly establish high-value priorities and related strategies
