Job Description:
This position contributes to developing and executing launch plans for products and product features. The product manager works with cross functional teams, including other Suite Leaders, Engineering, other Product Managers, Marketing, Support, Sales, Sales Engineering and Consulting to ensure that products and features have an effectively executed rollout strategy at time of launch.
Job Function and Responsibilities
- Drive and Execute project plans to support product and feature launches
- Actively manage the rollout plans, be a critical driver of execution within the organization
- Work with Lead Product Managers, and Feature Product Managers to understand how features and products work, and their value prop to the market
- Report out on status of key project plans and escalate barriers preventing execution
- Drive communication through cross functional teams
- Support development of collateral that can be used as part of the sales process to drive the commercial success of new products and features
- Interact with internal and external customers as appropriate
- Support development of product content, sales collateral including datasheets, case studies, and demo videos; help create contextual product and market content for demand gen programs.
- Support rollout plan for new features/functionality, release updates and track cross-functional implementation of plan collaborating with product, marketing, sales, and support teams.
- Serve as the SME of their product area with full understanding of current capabilities and ability to drive the application and demonstrate current functionality as well and work with UX on future features and how these will align with current capabilities and contribute to a user workflow that makes sense for their business and is efficient
- Participate in Design Partner Programs
- Develop customer requirements as appropriate, to shape future product enhancements
- Lead or participate in other projects or duties as assigned for future development
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of product lifecycle planning process
- Experience launching products and features
- Experience with Product and Solution Demos
- Ability to work through ambiguity
- Familiarity with cloud/SaaS offerings, and/or experience in the middleware market with strong technical acumen.
- Strong Project Management experience.
- Strong multi-tasker, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong presentation and communication skills for external presentations to various sized audiences.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with exceptional organizational skills.
- Quick learner with a "roll up the sleeves" approach and incredible attention to detail.
- A proven track record of success in a fast moving, technical environment.
- Knowledge of full project life cycle execution for web development, email campaigns, online media production, and mobile marketing
- Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and be outcome focused
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and handle complex problems with minimal supervision.
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Four (4) years plus of experience product or project management in the enterprise IT software space.
- Previous experience with SaaS, Cloud solutions.
- Successful track record of product and project management work with measurable results.
- Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
