Kirkland's sells home decor and furniture through a network of retail stores, originally gift shops that offered stylish home accessories at accessible prices. Its products range from decorative accents to larger furniture items, with stores historically located in indoor malls and later moved to outdoor shopping centers to accommodate bigger pieces. The company grew from a regional chain into a national presence and eventually became a publicly traded entity. In 2025 it entered a new phase when Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. announced the acquisition of Kirkland's Home assets, signaling a shift toward multi-brand operations under The Brand House Collective umbrella. Compared with competitors, Kirkland's emphasizes a long-standing national footprint, a transition to outdoor centers for larger-item offerings, and a transition from a single-brand gift shop to a multi-brand platform aimed at broadening home-lifestyle options.
