About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain highly resilient and scalable features in Toast’s menu management products through full-stack development, with a focus on front-end 
• Collaborate with UX, PM, QA and Engineering to define, design, and build best-in-class solutions in a complex and fast-moving environment
• Champion best practices for development, deployment and quality life-cycles
• Contribute to Toast’s internal frontend libraries 
• Guide the growth & development of peer engineers with mentoring and coaching
• Collaborate with team to plan and estimate work
• Share best practices with other frontend engineers across Toast R&D

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

• Extensive experience building complex web applications with modern frameworks, React preferred
• Champion best practices for development, quality, testing, and web standards best practices
• Experience delivering high quality, reliable services to production using object oriented languages 
• Experience shipping critical production services and balancing getting things done with platform stability and reliability
• Focused on delivering positive impact for Toast customers
• Enjoys working in a team environment with a shared code-base
• Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics 
• Experience and interest in building and maintaining APIs is a bonus
