Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on assigned areas of study.
  • Prepare research reports and technical papers for publication.
  • Investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles and theories.
  • Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories.
  • Develop advanced analytical models and systems and provide solutions and analyses to support strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Analyze complex genomic datasets from patient samples, patient-derived xenografts, and cell lines.
  • Identify mutations, copy number changes, structural variants, DNA methylation profiles, and chromatin states.
  • Use short-read and long-read sequencing data and proximity ligation data to study DNA topology and super-enhancer interactions across the genome.
  • Analyze whole genome sequencing, DNA methylation, Micro-C, ChIP-seq, and RNA-seq data from patient samples and myeloma cell lines.
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with next-generation sequencing analysis.
  • Experience with R or Python.
  • Experience with other computational languages.
  • Experience with bioinformatic analysis.
