Amentum is now hiring for several Field Service Representative (All Levels) positions in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.
Installs, repairs, and services electronic equipment, such as computers, radar, missile control, avionics, and communications, in field installations.
Converses with customer or supervisor to plan layout of equipment.
Reads and studies blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.
Installs or oversees installation of equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
Operates system to demonstrate equipment and to analyze malfunctions.
Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
Instructs and directs workers in servicing and repairing equipment. Instructs customers on operation of equipment.
Consults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
May instruct workers in electronic theory.
May supervise workers in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
May advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.
Responsible for the consulting, engineering, and operations activities performed at a particular customer location.
Identifies changes in telecommunications, computer, and systems technology and interprets their meaning to senior management and the customer.
Provides technical assistance to facilitate planning, design, installation, modification, and operation of an information systems capability.
Prepares long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, production activities and for necessary support resources.
Also responsible for applications systems analysis and programming activities for a group or section and for feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and the establishment and implementation of new and revised applications systems and programs.
Assists in projecting software and hardware requirements.
Assigns personnel to various projects and directs their activities; reviews and evaluates their work and prepares performance reports.
Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods.
Consults with personnel in other information systems sections to coordinate activities.
Prepares activity and progress reports regarding the activities at a particular customer site.
Confers and consults with customer personnel regarding performance and scheduling issues.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
1-10+ years of experience.
8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $50,000 - $185,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
