ROLE

Within the Ireland pricing operations team the incumbent will have responsibility for accurately reviewing and on boarding of new business to the pricing department for EMEA fund accounting clients. The consultant will be the subject matter expert on the team for all pricing specific requirements. The consultant will also lead the team in rolling out new systems/enhancements and procedures and collates and provides feedback from the pricing department to the relevant stakeholders. They may be an individual contributor or have to work closely with the Technical Co-ordinators on the team along with management. The Consultant will assist in training of new and existing staff when necessary. This role will be attractive to candidates with prior pricing experience or relevant operational /accounting experience who want to progress their career in a ‘best in class’ environment.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for on boarding of all new business within pricing for EMEA Fund accounting.

· Responsible for co-coordinating systems testing in the team in particular with pricing operating platform. This includes training staff on new system procedures, where required.

· Mentors team members and help identify training gaps.

· Provide training to new staff members and assist with upskilling of more experienced team members. This can include development planning for all levels of staff.

· Ability to provide input into long term strategy for department.

· Experience of representing businesses to current clients via presentations etc.

· Instils a client service culture among staff and ensures that all clients receive a quality service.

· Identify and delegate projects/assignments and tasks to team members. Maintain accountability for the projects/assignments. Provide progression feedback and recognition to the individuals and the project team.

· Assist clients/partners/staff to meet with complex problem resolution, consulting on effective ways to meet client needs and translating into action which gains credibility with clients.

· Work with the IT department and the business analysis group to help design solutions that are pragmatic to meet the business need.

· Initiates or actively participates in efforts to improve process within the own control or that impact department success

· Review existing procedures, processes, and problems and recommend where automation or improved processes can be implemented.

· Investigate and identify root causes of errors. Re-engineer processes to ensure that client needs are met and efficient processes are in place.

· Train staff on new system procedures, where required.

· Work with other Pricing teams globally to identify gaps in processes within our follow the sun model and look to achieve efficiencies by removing duplication of effort.

· Coordinate any other global efforts including transfer of work testing and business continuity planning.

· Work closely with our Global Controls and Consultancy team on pricing strategy and providing operations support for projects.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

· Previous exposure to Fund administration/accounting, custody and/or investment manager valuation services.

· Solid technical knowledge of securities industry and instruments along with understanding of how the pricing / data maintenance functions relate to other operations areas

· Extensive knowledge of financial industry including securities, investment and accounting, usually obtained by experience in several related areas, is required to design process improvements. Key areas of knowledge to include:

o Fixed Income Securities eg Bonds, Equities, ADRs, etc

o Fund Accounting

· Thorough working knowledge of Interactive Data, Reuters and Bloomberg

· Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.

· Advanced Microsoft Office experience (focusing on Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project) required. Knowledge of Visual Basic preferred.

· Flexibility and adaptability to changing business requirements

· Ability to display initiative, confidence and professionalism in all dealings with cross functional business units

· Experience working with virtual teams

· Excellent time management skills

· Maintain an understanding of the industry and NT, in particular NT’s systems, infrastructure and process/data flows.

· Understanding of how Pricing systems link and interface with other systems and an appreciation of how to implement such interfaces.

· Demonstrates willingness to help others outside team

· Good prioritisation and multi-tasking skills

· Strong problem solving skills

· Organises own workload and establishes priorities
