Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in Business or Public Administration or related degree; supplemented by three years of previous work experience involving project program management, knowledge of HUD program requirements, or similar experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinates the DeKalb County Homeless Continuum of Care (CoC) to ensure the CoC satisfies County and HUD requirements: Monitors CoC, CDGB and HOME assigned agency program performance; coordinates the activities of the Committees and the Board, and monitors the accuracy of HMIS data.
  • Prepares and submits for approval Federal Reports related to CoC activities as required throughout the year: these include AHAR, PIT, HIC, and Unmed Need using HUD designated software system E-Snaps and HDX.
  • Coordinates the County’s activities as it relates to the response to the HUD NOFA process (request for funding and application): this includes development of the application, coordination of the application review process, serving as the point of contact during the process, and preparing the Exhibit 1 and submission of the applications to HUD as required.
  • Participates in the preparation of the CAPAR, Annual Action Plan, and other departmental documents, and participates in the annual review process of CDBG funding requests.
  • Collaborates with Pathways, Inc., and the Continuum of Care to plan and implement the Bi-annual homeless census count.
  • Works with DeKalb County recipients of funds from other sources such as HUD and DCA to ensure that all regulatory and service obligations are met.
  • Represents the County, as needed, with homeless initiatives, information gathering and operating entities to include the Dedicating Opportunities to End Homelessness Veterans subcommittee; 100 K Homes initiative and 25 Cities initiative.
