Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in digital and social media, including at least 3 years leading a team of similar size and scope.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a social media management client portfolio across a tiered book of business, including premium and mid-tier accounts.
  • Direct, hands-on paid advertising experience setting strategy on six-figure annual spend, briefing creative, running testing cycles, and owning executive-level reporting.
  • Fluency in current artificial intelligence tooling for content and digital marketing, with a considered view of where it adds value and where it does not.
  • A premium brand sensibility and an understanding of the difference between content that performs and content that elevates.
Responsibilities
  • Own the digital function across The Local Project and The Local Production, covering brand-owned audience channels and the social media management portfolio delivered for partner clients.
  • Conduct quarterly strategy and performance reviews with the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Deliver weekly reporting on paid advertising performance.
  • Deliver monthly Sales and Client electronic direct mail live and consistently.
  • Set the paid advertising strategy across brand and performance channels, including Meta, Instagram, Facebook, Google, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and relevant emerging channels.
  • Own creative briefing for paid campaigns and work with in-house content and production teams to develop advertising creative meeting brand standards.
  • Own audience strategy, segmentation, retargeting, and lookalike modelling.
  • Activate, plan, and run The Local Project and The Local Production owned channels on a sustained weekly cadence.
  • Personally manage premier client relationships at executive level, attend strategic client meetings, and approve every client communication.
  • Set strategy and oversee delivery for major client accounts, delegating day-to-day execution and reviewing work at structured checkpoints.
  • Ensure efficient, productised delivery for mid-tier accounts while maintaining quality standards and contract margins.
  • Lead a team of six employees and four contractors across content, digital execution, and web development.
  • Hold regular one-on-one meetings with reports covering delivery, blockers, development, and feedback.
  • Lead a weekly digital work-in-progress meeting with tracked schedule changes and documented decisions.
  • Maintain Sprout as the single source of truth for scheduling, delivery, and reporting across the social media management portfolio.
  • Partner with the Chief Executive Officer to drive the next phase of artificial intelligence integration in the digital function.
  • Identify opportunities for artificial intelligence to improve content production, paid advertising creative, audience analytics, reporting, and client deliverables without compromising brand standards.
  • Embed artificial intelligence tools into the team's weekly workflow and support team adoption and trust.
  • Maintain a human-led approach to premium brand voice, considered creative, and storytelling.
