Responsibilities
RTS Carrier Services and Shamrock Trading Corporation are looking for a Business Development Intern. This 10-week sales internship will provide valuable insight into the transportation and finance industries. Our interns are taught through a combination of formal instruction and direct guidance from an assigned mentor. The Intern will focus on selling alongside experienced sales professionals in a fast-paced, active business setting. An ideal candidate will be outgoing, ambitious and dynamic sales personality.
- Learn and perform all processes from lead generation and prospecting to qualifying and closing new accounts
- Develop new business by managing an existing book-of-business and/or prospecting new leads
- Sell and cross-sell the STC value proposition
- Continually refine all processes as necessary to stay in front of customers in relevant industries
- Track metrics for all programs and activities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduation date of December 2023 or May 2024
- Internship runs 6/5/23 through 8/11/23
- Major in business, sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, supply chain management, marketing or economics is preferred
- Desire to pursue a career in sales
- Interest in transportation or finance industries
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and hard-working
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent time-management and verbal communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Multilingual skills are a plus
