Responsibilities
  • Prepare professional-quality print and digital copy for department-sponsored concert, recital, and special event programs and other department publications.
  • Create public posters, area mailers, student handbooks, conference materials, recruitment brochures, and other promotional materials.
  • Create digital materials for web and building screen displays.
  • Regularly update the department's social media pages.
  • Serve as webmaster for the department's website, including information about admission procedures and policies, faculty biographies, curriculum requirements, event calendars, ensemble and program information, audio files, and photography.
  • Process hiring for approximately 40–45 student workers.
  • Provide oversight to the 10–12 student workers who are part of Stage Crew.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain organizational systems for electronic and physical department records according to established policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the department.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems regarding technical systems and programs related to department operations.
  • Provide operational guidance and training on day-to-day activities of student workers and program staff.
  • Coordinate projects and program components, including scheduling, logistics, and unit workflow.
  • Identify areas for process improvement.
  • Monitor department, unit, or program budgets and expenses and assist with developing program budgets and projections.
  • Provide concert support.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree.

  • Previous college or university experience.
