Requirements
  • An active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field.
  • Experience with Verification, Validation and Transition (VV&T) within the overall customer domain.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to relate professionally within the work environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of geospatial intelligence, signals intelligence, or communications systems and overall space and ground architecture.
  • Expertise in mission technical capabilities and system performance analysis and assessment.
  • Experience with mission planning, control, or processing functions supporting space and ground architecture.
  • Experience writing test strategies, plans, procedures, and checklists.
  • Experience executing tests, analyzing data, and summarizing results.
  • Experience with system integration and transition approaches supporting the end-to-end geospatial intelligence, signals intelligence, or communications lifecycle.
  • The ability to recognize, understand, respect, and operate effectively within various systems engineering and technical assistance, federally funded research and development center, and government lines of authority.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate architecture, requirements, risks and opportunities, and processes for Verification, Validation and Transition impacts.
  • Define Verification, Validation and Transition activities and associated products, including strategies, plans, Requests for Change, procedures, checklists, requirements verification traceability matrices, and briefings for new and modified mission and service capabilities.
  • Lead or support the execution of Verification, Validation and Transition activities, including test events, transitions, and milestone readiness events.
  • Prepare reports describing activity results, risk assessments, discrepancy reporting, and lessons learned.
  • Manage, track, and close risks with acquisition offices and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate technical meetings to coordinate and support Verification, Validation and Transition activities and milestones.
  • Provide technical consultation, briefings, and recommendations to customers and other stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Technical familiarity with one or more satellite domains: geospatial intelligence, signals intelligence, or communications.
  • Experience with Verification, Validation and Transition from an acquisition, operations, or systems engineering perspective.
  • Experience with satellite systems Verification, Validation and Transition activities.
  • Experience with geospatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space-ground communications including ground terminals, ground systems and services, or mission operations.
  • Experience with commercial Verification, Validation and Transition techniques in service-oriented architecture environments, or infrastructure or application service provider environments.
  • Ability to mentor and lead junior individuals in the geospatial intelligence, signals intelligence, or communications domains for satellite systems.
