Requirements
  • Ability to practice law in the State you reside
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience focused on commercial law
  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience in building, running and/or developing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial transactions, specifically with large enterprises involving issues related to data protection, security, and intellectual property
  • Solid working knowledge of business models, relative bargaining power, sales motion, global commercial negotiation practices, and revenue recognition standards
  • Well-organized and able to work on tight timelines while handling multiple projects
  • Exceptional negotiation, client-counseling skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Confirmed ability to effectively influence, lead, collaborate with, and motivate others at all levels
  • Strong team, business, project, and people management skills
  • Creative thinker with the ability to solve complex problems while balancing legal risks with business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to change directions and re-prioritize work to meet new proposed outcomes

Responsibilities
  • Manage and scale a team of legal professionals
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and SaaS sales agreements
  • Provide practical, commercial advice to global sales executives and internal stakeholders
  • Create and manage education, information, and training programs for the sales and success organization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business teams to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies
  • Advise on GTM strategy and planning, proactively advise on legal risks, and shape business and legal terms
  • Be accountable to sales and partnerships teams ensuring continuous high performance through internal SLAs and KPIs
