Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or an associated program
  • 5 years of experience with sales in the utility industry
  • Experience communicating with and influencing customers within the High Voltage Industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Products – Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Existing relationships with key players at US Utilities within the transmission and distribution side of the business
  • ERP System knowledge preferred
Responsibilities
  • Develop a complete and thorough knowledge of DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations innovative product and service offering
  • Actively build new customer relationships through cold calling and expansion of existing relationships resulting in a well-diversified customer portfolio
  • Lead the customer development of utility and non-utility customers
  • Diagnosis and inform management of key industry data, insight on market intelligence, target opportunities and the development of a sales strategy
  • Team collaboration with sales reps, proposal, project, engineering, commercial and management teams
  • Maintain awareness of assigned Company Sales Representatives contracts
  • Support and leverage DIS-TRAN’s previously established sales agency network
  • Participate in territory specific marketing campaigns and events
  • Work with the company staff on market intelligence projects
  • Work with the company staff on national and regional trade shows
  • Assist in the development of the company’s annual business plan
  • Willingness to travel, primarily domestically, 50% of the time
