CoderPad provides a cloud-based platform for technical interviews and assessments that lets interviewers and candidates write, run, and debug code together in real time using a collaborative IDE that supports 30+ programming languages. Interviews can be conducted live, reviewed later with playback, and complemented by a digital whiteboard, take-home projects, and asynchronous screening. Its data science environments use Jupyter Notebooks. Pricing is subscription-based (including a free plan) and serves startups to large enterprises; the platform differentiates itself by enabling real-time code execution rather than whiteboard-only tests and by offering a broad toolset to evaluate coding skills more accurately.

What believers are saying

  • CoderPad's 2026 report says over 4,000 technical companies use its platform.
  • LinkedIn partnership and Coding Courses expand distribution into learner-to-hire pipelines.
  • AI-enabled interviews match modern workflows, supporting adoption as companies standardize AI usage.

What critics are saying

  • LinkedIn Learning can commoditize CoderPad's core exercises and compress pricing by 2027.
  • AI-native hiring weakens whiteboard-test differentiation, forcing rapid product execution against HackerRank and CodeSignal.
  • No recent funding or acquisition activity signals limited war chest for a category reshuffle.

What makes CoderPad unique

  • CoderPad pairs live collaborative IDE interviews with playback, rubrics, and structured feedback.
  • Its 2026 AI Assist lets candidates code with GPT, Claude, Gemini, and Llama.
  • CodinGame adds asynchronous assessments, widening CoderPad beyond live interviews.
