Sprout Social is looking to hire a Global Benefits Specialist I to the People Operations team.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring
Our ideal candidate has experience administering U.S. and international benefit programs and is curious about benefits-related compliance and benefits offering market trends. You enjoy doing independent, in-depth research and can present findings in a digestible format to a range of audiences. You’re naturally analytical and excited to develop skills in Excel/Google Sheets. You’re able to handle confidential and sensitive information in a mature and professional manner.

How you’ll grow
Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:
- Complete Sprout’s New Hire training program alongside other new Sprout team members. You’ll gain a broader understanding of our product and how your role fits into the organization.
- Meet with key internal stakeholders and vendor contacts.
- Shadow the administration of Domestic and International Benefits.
- Begin responding to employee service desk tickets.
- Become deeply familiar with our benefits offerings as well as our HRIS. We want you to dive in and help us find ways we can optimize our processes. Don’t be afraid to give us feedback. We welcome it.
Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:
- Take the lead role in our domestic and international benefits administration.
- Shadow the administration of leaves and accommodations
- Deliver Onboarding Benefits Session for New Hires.
- Research and report on compliance regulations and market trends
- Partner with members of Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate benefit recording and reconciliation.
- Work closely with People Ops Director and brokers to ensure benefits plans remain in compliance, including annual 5500 filings, audits, communications, amendments, and plan documents.
- Work with the People Business Partner team to gauge employees’ sentiments on current benefit offerings. Then use this information to guide future benefit selections.
- Coordinate with CRGs, such as Parents@Sprout, to get feedback around current and future benefit offerings.
Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:
- Assist with preparations for 2023 Open Enrollment including Workday configurations, vendor evaluations, cost-budgeting, developing employee training and communications.
- Develop quarterly engagement and utilization reporting cadence for stakeholders.
- Have your first performance conversation with your manager, where you’ll discuss your accomplishments in your role and work together to build goals for your professional growth
- Address and resolve benefit questions from current and former employees
- Serve as a regular liaison to benefits brokers and individual benefit vendors
- Update Sprout’s internal benefits wiki; where employees can access relevant benefits information and learn how to best utilize their current benefits
- Coordinate with Sprout’s Learning and Development team and CRGs to promote usage of benefits offerings such as, accessing mental and financial wellness benefits
- Partner with our vendor to oversee the employee leaves and reporting
- Process accommodation requests and partner with People Business Partners to complete the accommodations processes

The base pay range for this role is $62,400 to $96,300.00 USD annually. Individual base pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In addition to base pay, some Sales and Success roles can earn sales incentives.
Sprout’s compensation ranges are intentionally broad to allow for our team members’ growth within their role. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.
Base pay is only one element of an employee’s total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprout’s company’s 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers “Flexible Paid Time Off” and ten paid holidays.
