Requirements
  • At least ten years of experience in program management or program operations support.
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience with at least eight years in operations.
  • Knowledge of program management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in tracking and managing contract deliverables.
  • Familiarity with process development and implementation.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, including revenue, income, and budgets.
  • Experience generating reports, presentations, and communications.
  • Skills in identifying growth opportunities and evaluating proposals.
  • Understanding of market research and competitive analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint for collaboration and documentation.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee training tracking.
  • Understanding of remote work policies and staffing requirements.
  • Understanding of United States Air Force and Department of Defense systems, processes, and contracting procedures.
  • Knowledge of compliance and security clearance requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with executives, team members, and customers.
  • Ability to consolidate and convey information effectively across multiple teams.
  • Ability to establish professional relationships with government personnel, corporate departments, and employees.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic advisor for selected contract transitions.
  • Engage with managers across Odyssey to support efficient operations for the Cyber and Network Group’s portfolio of programs.
  • Document, manage, and implement effective, repeatable processes.
  • Manage and facilitate a recurring cadence of meetings to ensure regular, transparent exchange of information and materials between key stakeholders.
  • Assist directors and program managers in responding to internal suspense assignments and government requests in a timely manner.
  • Track, organize, and manage employee actions through successful closure, ensuring individual actions are satisfactorily completed.
  • Track and follow up on mandatory employee training and report status to leadership.
  • Assist with business management execution activities.
  • Track and organize contract deliverable products and ensure appropriate staffing for timely delivery.
  • Facilitate welcome messaging, employee onboarding, and employee offboarding to ensure consistent employee experiences across locations.
  • Consolidate and author employee and program communications, including corporate social posts, employee recognition correspondence, and newsletters.
  • Support annual budget development.
  • Develop, monitor, and prepare forecasts of revenue and income, program and group budgets, and indirect rates.
  • Advise directors, associate directors, program managers, and staff on remote or alternate work-arrangement processes and facilitate staffing of requests with appropriate corporate departments.
  • Coordinate event activities, including participation, agendas, and presentation materials for hiring events, industry days, all-hands meetings, and associate director presentations.
  • Identify marketing opportunities in the greater Eglin Air Force Base and Fort Walton Beach area.
  • Initiate and execute projects as needed.
  • Act as a key integrator between directors or associate directors and Odyssey corporate departments, including human resources, contracting, security, and finance.
  • Liaise with Odyssey’s Talent Acquisition recruiting team to coordinate staffing and hiring actions and ensure open positions are advertised.
  • Coordinate communication between cross-functional groups and ensure personnel-related matters are handled discreetly.
  • Facilitate timely communication and collaboration between directors, associate directors, managers, and employees by scheduling and facilitating meetings.
  • Assist program teams during transitions into new contracts.
  • Facilitate business development efforts for the Cyber and Networks contract, including contributing to and evaluating proposals, coordinating assistance requests, consolidating inputs, and participating in Cyber and Networks-related events and activities.

Odyssey lands NVIDIA and Samsung backing to build AI world simulator

Odyssey, an AI research company developing frontier world models, has secured investment from NVentures, NVIDIA's venture capital arm, and Samsung Next. The funding will support development of a general-purpose world simulator capable of generating infinitely long, interactive simulations from any starting point. Founded two years ago, Odyssey recently released Odyssey-2 Pro, a world model that can be integrated into applications across robotics, gaming, education and defence. The investment adds to backing from GV, EQT, Air Street Capital and notable angel investors including Jeff Dean and Elad Gil. The company will use the capital to improve simulation length, quality and interactivity, whilst scaling infrastructure for training next-generation world models. Odyssey's research team includes talent from DeepMind, OpenAI, Tesla, Waymo and Meta.
