Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience in underwriting

Responsibilities
  • Generate Property & Casualty New Business whilst writing within risk selection, appetite and underwriting authority
  • Adherence to the 4 Call Process to maximise opportunities arising
  • Achieve Bottom Line, Top Line and Expense targets by managing and operating to the Key Performance Indicators of the region
  • Enhance Arch's standing and presence locally by establishing and maintaining strong personal relationships with key directors and staff at the Region's most important brokers
  • Display strong negotiation skills that aid conversion and relationships with our key brokers
  • Contribute to the technical knowledge of the company by feeding back technical and commercial market intelligence to the Regional Manager and wider team
  • Work collaboratively with other parts of the organisation, especially with the claims and surveyor teams, when required

Arch Insurance launches US transactional liability team to expand risk insurance capabilities

Arch Insurance North America has launched a new US-based transactional liability team to expand its transactional risk insurance capabilities. The business will initially focus on Representations & Warranties and Tax coverage products. The new team is led by William Carson, who joined Arch from Everest where he served as Head of Transactional Risk, North America. Carson reports to Chris Christon, Senior Vice President, Executive Assurance. Arch Insurance has been active in the transactional risk market for over 15 years through various partners and channels across North America, Bermuda and the United Kingdom. The direct US platform complements Arch's existing distribution model and multi-channel approach.
