- Manage complex hardware and software programs that are dependent on broad cross-functional stakeholders, with a high degree of independence.
- Set project/program success criteria, create measurable milestones, track deliverables and deliver customer value incrementally. Measure, analyze, and optimize constantly to improve velocity, quality and efficiency of projects.
- Use technical judgment to facilitate decision making. Drive project delivery, technology reviews, guide technical proposals, and build consensus amongst cross-functional teams. Provide a strong quantitative analysis focus and translate the findings into recommendations and actionable plans.
- Communicate widely and transparently. Keep stakeholders appraised of progress through periodic updates and checkpoints (including engineering reviews).
- Work with core teams to develop and articulate long-term strategy and tactical plans to support all aspects of Google Production optical network.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
- Experience in managing networking programs, including but not limited to physical networking hardware, software-defined networking, or network virtualization.
- Experience in cloud-based computing and networking solutions, including but not limited to experience with Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) based on Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning networking.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience with one or more of the following networking hardware and software development, networking NPI product development, network fabric design and deployment.
- Experience in launching data processing center products.
- Experience in engaging with senior stakeholders at the executive level.
- Excellent technical judgment and understanding of large scale distributed systems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
