- A Master’s degree in Social Work and licensure as a certified social worker (CSW) are required.
- Understanding of Kentucky Board of Social Work laws and regulations regarding clinical practices is required.
- Three to six months of related internship or practicum experience is required.
- Knowledge of the mental and physical characteristics of the applicable population, including growth and development and treatment needs, is required.
- Knowledge of psychotherapy, human behavior, and treatment modes is required.
- Knowledge of community resources and SCS services is required.
- Reliable transportation for frequent travel between work sites is required.
- The position may require the incumbent to remain on twenty-four-hour call.
- The incumbent must be able to handle occasional exposure to the threat of bodily harm from clients or their families and possible exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue.
- The role accepts the following licenses from the appropriate Kentucky Board of Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (MFTA), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Art Therapist Associate (LPATA), or Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT).
- Perform clinical services, including intakes and group, individual, family, and expressive therapy, crisis intervention, psychodrama, and modeling.
- Maintain and complete service documentation, including psychosocial assessments, case notes, case reviews, court reports, and letters.
- Conduct case reviews and determine current and future treatment and treatment planning based on quantitative results and professional opinion of client progress.
- Collaborate with external agents, including CHR, school officials, family members, and other health agencies, regarding organizational programs and client needs and conditions.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, treatment planning meetings, case conferences, and clinical seminars, providing information related to program administration and development.
- Write correspondence on behalf of clients and their families, including court reports and letters of recommendation.
- Conduct case presentations and consultations with other agencies regarding programs and services offered.
- Formulate clinical diagnoses for mental health and substance abuse.
- Formulate clinical treatment plans for interventions.
- Exercise principle-centered leadership focused on customer service responsiveness and continuous quality improvement, and follow safety-management and Joint Commission policies and procedures.
- Two years of experience in a crisis setting is preferred.
- Manage caseloads involving varying levels of client disability and need.
