Requirements
  • At least 5 years of growing experience in account management, revenue cycle management, or a similar client-facing financial role, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Good understanding of all revenue cycle management steps: front-end, coding, billing, accounts receivable, denial management, and collections
  • Knowledge of how different payers work, payment methods, and contract management
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, and medical coding rules
  • Understanding of healthcare compliance and regulations (HIPAA, CMS, payer rules)
  • Experience with electronic health record and practice management systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, or eClinicalWorks
  • Proven success leading hospital revenue cycle operations and managing performance based on industry standards
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven experience guiding, coaching, and developing teams
  • Ability to set expectations, conduct reviews, and ensure accountability
  • Experience managing teams that work across different departments and remotely
  • Ability to manage change and keep teams engaged, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret revenue cycle management data and translate into actions
  • Experience tracking and improving key metrics like denial rates, AR days, aging percentages, and cash collections
  • Ability to identify root causes of problems and implement solutions
  • Skilled at presenting data and performance reviews to clients at an executive level with clear visuals
  • Experience improving and standardizing RCM processes
  • Ability to spot risks, gaps, and opportunities to automate or improve efficiency
  • Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
  • Ability to explain complex RCM data clearly to clients
  • Strong presentation skills with client and executive audiences
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools
  • Experience working with and improving various electronic medical records and Clearinghouse platforms
  • Highly organized with strong time management
  • Attention to detail and ability to work on both strategic and daily tasks

Responsibilities
  • Lead Your Team: Guide and develop a high-performing team, set clear goals, review performance, ensure accountability, and build a culture of quality and ownership across all teams, including remote ones
  • Improve Processes: Create and refine smart ways to manage client accounts and collect revenue more effectively; standardize revenue cycle processes, identify risks or areas for improvement, look for automation opportunities, manage several projects at once
  • Analyze Performance: Use data to track key results, spot trends, share clear reports and advice with senior leaders and clients; improve metrics like denial rates, AR days, aging percentages, and cash collections; identify root causes and fix them
  • Manage Clients & Partners: Be the main contact for clients and a trusted advisor; build strong relationships with sales, finance, client services, executives, and clinical teams; solve complex account problems, handle escalations, resolve conflicts, ensure client happiness while meeting service agreements and performance goals
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with company rules, industry regulations, and best practices to protect operations and client trust, including understanding HIPAA, CMS, payer rules
  • Stay Current: Keep up with industry trends, new rules, and technology to stay competitive and guide decisions
  • Travel: Travel occasionally (10-20% per year) for client meetings, conferences, or team events
