Xometry is looking to hire a Manager, Partner Quoting to join our RFQ Department. This role will lead, manage, support, mentor, and grow the Partner Quoting team here at Xometry. 

Additionally, this role will be to serve as a working manager, essentially performing the standard work related to quoting, estimating, and partner relationship activities, with a focus on high value, complex and strategically important initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with manufacturing partners to confirm quote strategy, pricing, terms, and any concessions required to complete a customer pricing proposal
• Manage and support all partner programs along with creating, maintaining, and improving relationships with all partners 
• Support team members through prioritization, technical discussions, reviews, and, quote strategies
• Submit quotes to sales for review and customer presentations
• Obtain/Prepare basic DFM feedback, along with general optimization ideas
• Provide team leadership, management, and development. Coaches and Mentors- motivates team members; leads teams effectively and provides feedback regarding performance to management and/or staff 
• Consults with management and/or HR to address and resolve employee behavior/performance concerns in accordance with company policies
• Meet with various departments to optimize quote submission and general department performance
• Monitor, drive, and improve upon key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve company goals, including volume of quotes delivered, close rate, revenue/bookings, and gross margins. Identify risks and opportunities and proactively drive improvement initiatives
• Project management for larger, complex sourcing projects
• Update and optimize departmental operating procedures, KPI tracking, and employee training

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in engineering and/or business related field preferred
• Demonstrated project management and cross functional leadership expertise
• 10+ years of sourcing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of experience in a team lead or management experience
• Proficiency in reading customer drawings, CAD files, and technical documents
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization, with technical and non-technical staff, and leading with a cross-functional team. Team-leading ability to motivate and influence others to support cost estimating, meet deadlines, and provide assumptions
• Ability to follow a standard process, utilize standard tools, and make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the process
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness to constructively challenge inputs and analyze outputs. Iterate as necessary
