Requirements
  • Masters’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution
  • With prior work experience in Education and/or Social Work setting, Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Mental health Counseling or related subject area (and other majors related to Education and Human Services)
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills
  • The ability and willingness to work with stakeholders and AVP to ensure program practice/standard.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and/or conduct the delivery of services to clients and the timely documentation of those services to ensure family needs are met and support successful case progression.
  • Conduct and participate in individual and group coaching sessions to address concerns and enhance team skills and ensure professional development. Lead and participate in regular team meetings to discuss program updates, foster a collaborative work environment and ensure model fidelity (if applicable).
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement plans to enhance program effectiveness and client outcomes.
  • Manage recruitment, retention efforts, onboarding, and offboarding processes for staff. This includes ensuring staff attend all required training and implementing formal disciplinary measures when necessary to ensure staff is equipped to meet families needs.
  • Support staff with stabilitizing family incidents and crises, while adhering to stakeholder documentation compliance and increasing skills.
  • Promote the program within the community and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a steady flow of appropriate referrals and promote knowledge and resource sharing
  • Ensure program compliance with internal and external stakeholder requirements, conducting regular documentation reviews and audits to maintain high standards of care
  • Provide coverage for direct reports, peers and Assistant Vice President as needed and participate in supervisor on call weekend rotation (if applicable) in order to foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
Desired Qualifications
  • 1- 2 years of relevant experience in evidence-based services, preventive settings, Academic/mentoring/coaching, and/or school based mental health services
  • 2-3 years of accumulated experience (internships through post-graduate) providing direct services to youth and their families in their homes and/or communities
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and Data entry systems (e.g. Connections, Electronic Health Record).
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Experience in managing direct service providers who engage with the identified populations or similar population in high-risk court-involved youth either in Family Court or Adult Court, Child-Welfare programs.
  • An understanding and commitment to complying with the New York State Central Register of Abuse and Neglect protocol (requiring staff to comply with promulgated requirements to report any suspected abuse, maltreatment, or neglect of any child).
  • Experience with and willingness to work with culturally diverse population, computer literacy, able to research current information on medical, social and legal issues.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and community outreach to promote the program and manage relationships.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.
