The Role

The Principal Software Engineer will be responsible for architecting and developing robust business banking platforms. This includes designing systems for transfer and payment processing, overseeing financial transaction workflows, and implementing comprehensive permission management schemes to ensure security and compliance.

This role pays between 165k - 185k CAD per year

In this role, you will:

• Lead the architectural design and development of business banking platforms, emphasizing transfer, payment systems, and permission management.

• Create and manage complex permission schemes, ensuring secure and compliant access to banking services.

• Develop scalable and secure solutions for processing financial transactions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies and best practices into the banking platform.

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

What you bring:

• Over 10 years of software development experience, with extensive expertise in enterprise platform architecture in the financial services or fintech sector.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing transfer, payment systems, and permission management schemes.

• Strong knowledge of security protocols and compliance requirements in the banking industry.

• Experience with cloud technologies and DevOps practices is a plus.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire engineering teams.

• B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
