  • Familiarity with Joint Publication 5-0 or similar military planning doctrine
  • Knowledge of national security strategy frameworks and DoD organizational structure
  • Basic understanding of cyberspace operations concepts (beneficial but not required)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
  • Experience with collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams, or similar platforms)
Responsibilities
  • Execute Joint Planning Process (JPP) methodology including mission analysis, COA development, wargaming, and order development under Operations Planning Manager guidance
  • Produce Planning Reports, Information Papers, and COA documents in government-approved formats meeting quality and timeline standards
  • Support crisis action planning using modified JPP for rapid response and assist contingency planning for DISA, Combatant Commands, USCYBERCOM, or JFHQ-DODIN
  • Analyze national and DoD-level directives to inform planning efforts and research operational environments, threats, and requirements
  • Participate in Joint Planning Groups, Operational Planning Teams, and Battle Rhythm Command and Control Working Groups
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders including USCYBERCOM, JFHQ-DODIN, and Combatant Commands using secure platforms (JWICS, SIPRNet)
  • Support cyberspace operations planning including development of plans, orders, and COAs to deter DODIN attacks
