April 9, 2026 The Valley Hospital is proud to be recognized for top Medical Services and as a top Place to Work in (201) Magazine's 20th Annual Best of Bergen Community's Choice Awards. This is the fourth time The Valley Hospital has received these recognitions. According to (201) Magazine describes the Best of Bergen Community's Choice Awards as a two-part voting process, beginning with the local Bergen County community nominating their favorite Bergen County-based companies. Businesses spanning more than 130 categories, including Shopping and Services; Food and Drink; Health and Beauty; and Places to Go and Things to Do, can be nominated. Once nominations are received, the second part of the voting process begins as the community votes on the top seven businesses nominated in each category. The Ridgewood campus, located at 223 North Van Dien Avenue in Ridgewood, New Jersey, is now a thriving outpatient healthcare destination, with a variety of services designed to offer convenient care for the community. The campus is home to full-service outpatient laboratory services, outpatient diagnostic imaging, outpatient endoscopy services, Valley's Wound, Ostomy and Continence Center, The Valley Breast Center, Valley's Recovery and Wellness Center, The Center for Sleep Medicine, and Earl A. The Valley Hospital recognized for excellence in transcatheter heart valve repair and replacement by the American College of Cardiology. * by post * Wednesday, March 11 2026 @ 04:40 pm * Posted in News and Views PARAMUS, NJ, March 11, 2026 - The Valley Hospital has once again been awarded Transcatheter Valve Certification from The American College of Cardiology (ACC) for its demonstrated expertise and commitment to treating patients receiving transcatheter valve repair and replacement procedures. This recertification was given based on the evaluation of Valley's ability to meet standards for multidisciplinary teams, formalized training, shared decision-making, and registry performance. The Valley Hospital was initially awarded Transcatheter Valve Certification in 2023. The ACC's Transcatheter Valve Certification is an external review and certification process that pairs with established national clinical databases to monitor patient safety and real-world outcomes related to transcatheter valve therapies. Transcatheter valve therapies are minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures used to repair or replace diseased heart valves. Participation in established national clinical databases such as the STS/ACC TVT Registry is required for hospitals interested in achieving Transcatheter Valve Certification. The Structural Heart Program at Valley addresses structural heart disease, or defects in the heart's valves or chambers. Due to technological advances, complex structural heart disease can be treated using minimally invasive transcatheter valve therapies, which typically translates to safer and more effective patient care. Due to the complex nature of heart disease, it can be challenging for patients to understand all the decisions that need to be made. A team approach can help by bringing together a variety of heart specialists to assist patients in making appropriate decisions. This is particularly beneficial for patients who have structural heart disease plus other related heart conditions that make treatment more complex. "We are proud to have received this recertification from the ACC. Our structural heart team provides patient-focused care tailored to each patient's specific needs, using leading-edge, minimally invasive treatment modalities, including transcatheter aortic valve repair (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR), and transcatheter-edge-to-edge repair (TEER) procedures," said Rajiv Tayal, MD, MPH, Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Structural Heart Program at The Valley Hospital. "Our team keeps up with the latest advances in the field to make sure patients receive up-to-date, evidence-based guidelines and care." "At The Valley Heart and Vascular Institute, our multidisciplinary team - including interventionalists, structural heart specialists, interventional cardiologists, general cardiologists, radiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and advanced practice nurses - is deeply committed to working together to deliver the highest quality outcomes for our patients," said Suneet Mittal, MD, Chair of the Cardiovascular Service Line for Valley Health System. "This certification reflects the strength of that collaboration and our shared dedication to excellence." Hospitals that achieve Transcatheter Valve Certification learn best practices for implementing evidence-based medicine to support patient-centered decision-making. These hospitals track key performance metrics to better identify opportunities for improvement and patient safety. "The Valley Hospital has demonstrated its commitment to providing northern New Jersey with excellent heart care," said Deepak L. Bhatt, MD, MPH, FACC, Chair of the ACC Accreditation Management Board. "ACC Accreditation Services is proud to award The Valley Hospital with Transcatheter Valve Certification." The ACC offers United States and international hospitals, like The Valley Hospital, access to a comprehensive suite of cardiac accreditation services designed to optimize patient outcomes. These services are focused on all aspects of cardiac care, including transcatheter valve therapies. * Currently 0.00/5 Rating: 0.00/5 (0 votes cast)
Healthgrades names The Valley Hospital one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for fourth consecutive year. * by post * Wednesday, January 28 2026 @ 02:53 pm * Posted in News and Views PARAMUS, NJ, January 27, 2026 - The Valley Hospital is proud to announce that it is one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for 2026, according to new research released by Healthgrades. This achievement reflects The Valley Hospital's commitment to clinical excellence and top-tier patient care and puts Valley in the top 2% of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance. The Valley Hospital has received the America's 100 Best Hospital Award? for four years in a row (2023-2026). Valley is 1 of 5 hospitals in New Jersey and the only hospital in Bergen County to receive the award. In addition to this recognition for overall clinical care, The Valley Hospital was the previous recipient of other 2026 accolades from Healthgrades for outstanding performance in key service areas, including outpatient orthopedic surgery, outpatient joint replacement, and stroke care. Specifically, Valley was recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals for Outpatient Orthopedic Surgery? for 2026; one of America's 50 Best Hospitals for Outpatient Joint Replacement? for three years in a row (2024-2026); one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care? for nine years in a row (2018-2026); and one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Critical Care? for three years in a row (2024-2026). Valley also received the Stroke Care Excellence Award for 2026. "It is an honor to be recognized by Healthgrades as one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for a fourth time, particularly in our 75th anniversary year," said Robert Brenner, MD, MMM, FACHE, President and CEO of Valley Health System. "This award underscores Valley's dedication to high-quality care for the communities we serve." To determine America's 100 Best Hospitals for 2026, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for more than 30 of the most common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide. Healthgrades' analysis found that outcomes vary widely between the nation's highest- and lowest-performing facilities - and the gap is getting bigger, says Healthgrades. In fact, if all hospitals, as a group, performed similarly to America's 100 Best, on average, 210,126 lives could have been saved during the 2022-2024 study period.* These findings illustrate the importance of choosing a facility with an established record of superior clinical outcomes. "This year's America's Best Hospitals list gives patients a clearer picture of where high-quality care is delivered most consistently," said Alana Biggers, MD, MPH, medical advisor at Healthgrades. "Patients can feel confident in their decision to seek care at The Valley Hospital, an organization that is setting the standard for clinical excellence nationwide." *Statistics are based on Healthgrades analysis of MedPAR data for years 2022 through 2024 and represent three-year estimates for Medicare patients only.
