Within Academic & Government Products, the role of the Product Analytics team is to turn the multitude of data into insights and AB testing opportunities that can be used to build better digital products. Like us, you thrive in a complex data environment. We like getting our hands into the data, focusing on insights which drive actions and product improvements. We extract data and make sense of it using SQL, Python/R, Tableau, Adobe Analytics and quantitative techniques (such as regression, statistical testing).
You will provide analytics thought partnership to our product teams. You will lead new feature and product improvement experimentation to quantify customer and business impact. You will brainstorm, define and calculate metrics to optimize the customer experience by generating insights to drive our products forward. You will collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams as part of an embedded team.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing your expertise in user behavior to establish performance metrics aligned with user satisfaction. Identify key metrics for new features using customer-centricity and business acumen. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define product OKRs for effective focus.
- Setting up dashboards and reports to monitor performance and building models to analyze product performance and user behavior. It also includes communicating insights through product metrics and reviewing user experience. Additionally, creating product/user funnels to understand user behavior and engagement and identifying opportunities for new features are part of the role. Collaboration with the Product Manager to define, prototype, evaluate experiment results, and scale features and solutions is essential.
- Using data analysis to develop hypotheses and confirm them through online experiments and AB testing. After that, you will work with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver your findings.
- Analyzing undefined data from various sources to reveal insights and address strategic questions. Work with Product Managers to prioritize features and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.
- Communicating insights and information effectively and engagingly, through presentations, reporting and dashboards to all levels of the organization. Advocate for a data-driven culture and help your stakeholders in how to interpret results. Empowering and enabling stakeholders across the business to make embrace the power of data and drive data informed decision making.
Requirements
- The right mix of passion, humility, positivity and desire to grow.
- Experience in data-driven problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate should also have expertise in product analytics, digital product optimization, A/B testing, and web analytics. Demonstrable experience in impactful data analysis and insight generation (including building predictive models), is essential. Additionally, you should be able to independently initiate and drive projects to completion.
- Experience with advanced SQL skills and understanding of data application for problem-solving. Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and scripting (e.g., Python, R) is preferred. The ideal candidate will be skilled at analyzing and merging large datasets in cloud data warehouse services such as Amazon Redshift.
- Communicator adept at conveying analysis findings and recommendations. Proficiency in Tableau is highly valued for using visual reporting tools. The role involves engaging with diverse stakeholders, and cross-cultural experience is advantageous.
