About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Support Engineering Manager to join our team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate should have experience in; software development (web and mobile), support engineering, building teams, and leadership. The area of focus for this role is supporting development partners who have or are currently integrating with our platform.
While this is a new role, you will be expanding on our existing support engineering framework. You will have the opportunity to grow and develop your team with the support of the broader Product Operations department. This role involves working with a variety of customers both internally and externally and requires a high level of problem solving expertise.

Essential Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of Support Engineers, ensuring the team is providing high-quality technical support to our development partners.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Investigate and troubleshoot complex technical issues raised by development partners, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Ensure that the team is documenting technical issues and providing feedback to the development team for continuous improvement.
- Create a framework and oversee a process for creating documentation that can help integrators better leverage the platform, including; “How to Guides”, “Tutorials” and sample code.
- Analyze technical support metrics and identify areas for improvement in processes, tools, and support documentation.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in technical support or software engineering, with at least 2 years in a management or team lead role.
- Experience hiring engineers.
- Strong knowledge of at least two; REST API, queues, and/or Android development.
- Experience building and deploying software to cloud technologies .
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for cutting-edge technology in a growing partner and customer ecosystem.
- Nice to haves:
- Experience developing and managing internship programs
- Directly supporting developers with API or SDK integrations
- Job experience within regulated industries; fintech, medical devices, legal, etc

This is an exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $110,319 and $173,025. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
