Requirements
  • An associate degree or higher in an information technology-related field, or three years of relevant information systems security experience.
  • Experience maintaining information system technology, including Windows and Linux.
  • Must have or be able to obtain Security+ or an equivalent certification.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Information Systems Security Manager in planning, organizing, maintaining, and ensuring compliance of classified systems in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, Risk Management Framework, and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency Assessment and Authorization Guide.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for classified information systems while adhering to policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot information systems as necessary.
  • Mitigate vulnerabilities on information systems to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, and report discrepancies to the Information Systems Security Manager, Information Systems Security Officer, and/or Facility Security Officer.
  • Manage and schedule information system patching, updating, and scanning based on vulnerabilities, threats, or regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain the day-to-day security posture and continuous monitoring for all systems.
  • Manage user access and support users' technical requirements.
  • Assist with information systems incident response.
Desired Qualifications
  • Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Holding a current Department of Defense Information Assurance Workforce Level I or higher Information Assurance Technician certification, such as GSEC, Network+, Security+, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, GCIH, CGED, CISSP, or CASP.
  • Working knowledge of Linux.
  • Experience administering and maintaining Department of Defense classified information systems.
  • Experience with Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guides.
  • Experience with ACAS/Tenable Nessus.
  • Experience with Cisco network devices.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware.
