Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field in business administration
  • Minimum of 4-6 years working as a Payroll & Benefits Specialist within multi-state payroll experience
  • Robust experience with HRIS systems, ADP strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Advanced analytical and strong modeling skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with emphasis on meeting tight deadlines
  • Proactive and take initiatives for process improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
Responsibilities
  • Process various multi-state payrolls and special payrolls (e.g. severances, off-cycle payouts)
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of employees
  • Manage PTO, salary updates, 401(k) deferral changes
  • Oversee expat salary changes and admin pay calculations
  • Calculate sales and project incentive plans and payouts
  • Provide ad-hoc payroll reports as needed
  • Resolve payroll compliance matters and continuously improve payroll processes
  • Apply for State and/or Local Employer Tax ID numbers as required
  • Prepare advanced reports using system and Excel
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation
  • Reconcile expenses, file payroll taxes, and ensure statutory compliance
  • Collaborate with HR Team on onboarding, terminations, and payroll-related changes
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information
  • Assist employees with HR inquiries and programs
  • Train employees and leadership on payroll processes and technology use
  • Prepare annual payroll budget report and mid-year reconciliation
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
