AIR Communities, a prominent real estate investment trust, has been awarded the Real Estate Top Workplace designation by Energage, a testament to its efforts in creating a supportive and engaging work environment.
Blackstone is selling $1.05 billion of commercial mortgage bonds to help fund its $10 billion acquisition of AIR Communities, an apartment landlord. The debt consists of six tranches with ratings from AAA to BB-. This follows a previous $2.95 billion CMBS sale in July, also backed by AIR Communities properties. Blackstone plans to invest over $400 million to enhance AIR Communities' portfolio. CMBS issuance has reached $69.7 billion this year, with spreads wider than at the start of the year but below last year's levels.

Ryan Specialty Holdings Inc. (NYSE:RYAN) will replace Apartment Income REIT Corp. (NYSE:AIRC) in the S&P MidCap 400 effective prior to the opening of trading on June 28, 2024. Blackstone Inc. (NYSE: BX) is acquiring Apartment Income REIT, with the deal expected to close soon. Ryan Specialty Holdings will be added to the index under the Financials sector, while Apartment Income REIT will be removed from the Real Estate sector.
Apartment Income REIT Corp. has announced a merger with Apex, Aries, and Astro Purchaser LLCs, with the latter's subsidiary merging into the company.
