Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in customer or guest service, guest experience, hospitality, operations, loyalty marketing, or a related area.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience.
  • A bachelor's degree, or an additional two years of relevant training or experience in lieu of the degree.
  • Experience scheduling shift work.
  • Experience managing budget controls.
  • Experience overseeing a 24/7 operation.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and familiarity with Alaska Airlines culture, policies, and practices.
  • Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate others and constructively resolve personnel problems.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multitask and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts, and remain accessible 24/7 for after-hours issues and emergencies as needed.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Washington State Food Handlers Certificate and Washington State Mandatory Alcohol Server Training permit.
  • Must be able and willing to serve alcohol.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, walk, and remain standing for extended periods.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and establish priorities for the Alaska Lounge team.
  • Execute the strategy for Alaska Airlines airport lounges within the assigned lounge location.
  • Contribute to long-term strategy and planning for staffing, guest experience, partnerships, and initiatives for the designated location.
  • Manage the daily lounge operation, including staffing and schedules, operational or facilities issues, inventory control procedures, and vendor management.
  • Resolve complex, escalated guest complaints and provide appropriate feedback on operational issues.
  • Manage local financial objectives, ensure guidelines are met, and keep expenses within budget.
  • Lead the day-to-day relationship with the lounge's third-party culinary partner, ensuring communication and alignment with Alaska Lounge standards.
  • Oversee food and beverage execution with the vendor's on-site leadership, address performance gaps, and ensure staffing, workflows, products, and outputs meet service-level expectations.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor-related operational issues and collaborate with internal partners to drive resolution, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide input into local key marketing initiatives to strengthen lounge loyalty and grow memberships.
  • Continuously improve the customer and employee experience.
  • Liaise with other station leaders at airports within the designated region to cultivate partnerships and ensure superior customer service throughout the airport experience.
  • Develop people through performance management and ongoing feedback, including delegation, coaching, team development, performance management, and time management.
  • Oversee required training and audit training records to ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and rules.
  • Shape the team's culture and work environment through presence, communication, and reinforcement of expected behaviors.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous airline experience.
  • Two years of experience leading managers or supervisors and large operational teams of more than 50 employees.
  • Experience overseeing food and beverage operations.
  • Knowledge of Lounge policies and procedures.
  • Experience with IMAGE, SOLAR, PeopleSoft, Kronos, RosterApps, LoungeIn, Clover, and My Account.
